Fire Recovery helps fire departments all over the country navigate the insurance maze in the aftermath of emergency response. The success of the business depends on the efficiency of their operations and they needed a custom software system to automated as much as possible and enable the staff to do more with less. The customer user base had limited experience with software in general, requiring an interface that was highly intuitive.
A series of interviews with leadership and staff, coupled with observation and documentation, helped bring us up to speed with a highly nuanced industry. Wireframing iterations translated the process rules and requirements into an approximate experience, which led to a prototype. Further refinements were made as the staff and key customers played with the prototype and more details emerged about the data and the real world process.
CultureZoo turned the prototype into a real boy on a LAMP stack and the CodeIgniter framework.
